About KGU

Building No. 14 is called Morio hall. Who is "Morio"? Morio Takahashi was the president when KGU was managed as Kumamoto College of Commerce. Building 14 was erected to commemorate his achievements. It has many rooms. On the first floor, there are Memorial hall of Morio Takahashi and Support section for getting jobs. The former give lectures. Lecture fee is usually free. Famous people and scholars visit there to give a lecture. Many lectures will be to your benefit. Why don’t you join some lectures? Support section of giving jobs has information for finding jobs, and you can consult with support center staff about job hunting. On the second and third floor, there are lecture rooms. On the fourth floor, there is e-Campus Center. It has many computers and Study hall. KGU students can use this room when you want to use computers. On the fifth floor and sixth floor, there are rooms for graduate students. They can study there, and these rooms have computers.

Student’s hall is called "Gakkan." There are many facilities for students. First, there are lounge and LAWSON on the first floor. Many students go to LAWSON frequently. It is a rare thing that Convenience store is in a university. Second, there are four facilities on the second floor. Green-Campus-Center run welfare programs of Kumamoto Gakuen, for example, intermediation, lending a suitcase, to sale postage stamp and more. Hair make Amore is Barbershop. International students go to get a haircut there. Hamaya is a photo studio. You can develop films and have your picture taken. Nishitetsu Travel helps planning a travel. Summer will come soon. If you will go traveling, you should visit to Nishitetsu Travel. Next, there is a practice room on the third floor. It has six rooms, two meeting rooms, two tatami rooms and two soundproof rooms. Tea ceremony club uses Tatami rooms, when they take lessons in tea ceremony and hold tea ceremony party. Music clubs use Sound-proof rooms for playing the musical instruments. Finally, it has big Hall on the fourth floor. Speech contest of international students was held there. It's Annual event.
